Mission Statement

Sunrise Home Owners Association, as a Community Association represents the best interests of all of the 131 homeowners of the Sunrise addition of Brevard County. As a Board of Directors, it is our duty to ensure that the collective rights and interests of all homeowners are respected and preserved. Our Association is the most local form of a representative democracy, with leaders elected by our neighbors to govern in the best interest of all residents. The next level of governance is the Brevard County Board of Commissioners. It is our duty to provide services and amenities to our residents, protect property by strict adherence to our By-Laws / Covenants in order to meet established expectations of all homeowners. Our success will be when we cultivate a true sense of community, have active homeowner involvement and a culture of building consensus.

We all have chosen to live here in Sunrise and have accepted a contractual responsibility to abide by established policies and meet the financial obligations of our Association. We, as members of the Board of Directors, have a legal and ethical obligation to adhere to the Association’s governing documents and abides by all Brevard County Ordinances and Florida Statutes. It is our duty to seek an effective balance between the preferences of individual residents and the collective rights of all homeowners.  We always need to be reasonable, flexible and open to the possibility and benefits of compromise. And lastly, we need to be compassionate to our neighbors who may be in need of our assistance.
